Virat Kohli has become the most expensive player in IPL history after being retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore while forking out Rs 17 crore for the Indian skipper’s services. On the deadline day for IPL player retentions for 2018 season.
Virat Kohli has broken the previous record for the most expensive player held by England all-rounder Ben Strokes of Rs 14.5 Crore by Rising Pune Supergiants.

 Along with Kohli bagging 17 Crore to his pocket, Mumbai Indians Captain Rohit Sharma and CSK Captain MS Dhoni both has been Retain for Rs 15 Crore by their Franchise.
